After his girlfriend ditches him for a boorish ski jock, Lane decides that suicide is the only answer. However, his increasingly inept attempts only bring him more agony and embarrassment. Filled with the wildest teen nightmares, a family you can't help but identify with, and a host of wonderful comic characters, Savage Steve Holland's writing/directorial debut is a masterful look at those painfully funny teen years.

Two Dollars
An eighties movie no one should miss.
The film features a young John Cusack disturbingly in love with his girlfriend Beth. As is expected in teen romances, Beth moves on to date the best skier in school and the young John Cusack is heartbroken. He decides to challenge the Best Skier in School to a race down the most dangerous slope in the area, the K-12. After his best friend (played by the one and only Curtis Armstrong (a Michigan native)) turns out to be a lackluster coach, Young John Cusack loses hope. However, next door there happens to be a female french foreign exchange student that is a talented skier. The two work to win Beth's affection back, with 80'slicious results. Hilarious flick.
