"First published under the title Grafarþögn in Reykjavík by Edda Publishing"--T.p. verso.
Downtrodden detective Erlendur and his team must once again look into Reykjavik's hidden past to unravel a case of human nastiness. Alive with tension and atmosphere, and disturbingly real, this is an outstanding continuation of the Reykjavik Murder Mysteries.

Loved it! submitted by Shayne on August 9, 2009, 11:59am I'm a big mystery fan and I particularly like Scandinavian authors and this author is one of the best. Clean, spare writing is combined with a plot that immerses the reader in the problems of the various characters. The setting is Reykjavík during WWII and in contemporary times. I can't wait to read another of his books!

Great Book submitted by 0liviap0pp on August 22, 2011, 7:19am This is a great book that takes place during WWII.

a great series submitted by manz on August 18, 2012, 9:43am I loved this book! It's part of a great nordic fiction series. I HIGHLY recommend the Erlender books, particularly the first three (this one and Jar City & Voices.)
