Everett brings his fiancé Meredith home to meet his family for the Christmas holiday. It's an instant disaster when Everett's parents, Sybil and Kelly, agree with their gay, deaf son Thad, pot-smoking son Ben and daughters Amy and Susannah that Meredith is way too uptight to be welcomed into their family. Wanting to please Everett and get along with his family, Meredith recruits her sister Julie to help her thaw the Stone family cold front.

Saw it after I read in the WSJ how popular it is, viewed every year at Xmas submitted by Tassos on December 5, 2023, 9:29am Yesterday 12/4 there was an article in the WSJ about this movie that made me curious to see it and find out what the big deal with it is, which makes so many people view it every year at Xmas.

It's from 2005, and it sure as hell is far better than your typical, STUPID, Politically correct, so sugary you will get DIABETES, idiotic Xmas movies from Disney and its ilk.

It's not perfect but at times it is really good.

See it and form your OWN opinion, if the avalanche of stupid movies you see has left any grey cells inside your head.
