Everyone should read this book

I found this book in my school's make-shift library (we don't have a real library; I teach in SW Detroit) and wrote a note to our reading coach to let her know I was taking it home to read this summer. I read it in 2 days! I wish every kid (and adult) could read this book. It breaks down the gross stuff that is in the food that we eat, reinforces how insidious the fast food corporations are and it evens gives the best description of unions (and why we need them) that I've ever read!
Great Book submitted by Ilyjtwya on June 12, 2015, 8:27pm My 10 and 12 year old children actually finished this book before I did, and we all really enjoyed it. It's informative, easy to read, and enjoyable. As a bonus, they no longer ask for or want to eat McDonalds. After what I learned, I'm much more aware of the how the meat I buy has been processed as well. I recommend this book as an easier read than the author's Fast Food Nation.
