Anansi the trickster submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 23, 2012, 5:01pm In the same vein as "American Gods," Neil Gaiman brings us the story of the sons of Anansi the Spider, a character in many west African folk tales brought to the Americas by slaves. Anansi is sometimes a trickster god, so the live of his sons are anything but simple. The author takes folk tales and Paganism seriously and plays out what would happens as a result.
Read some of the original Anansi folktales to get a feel for the character.

Anansi Boys submitted by lstorc on August 6, 2018, 4:50am Fantastic sequel to American Gods
