Academy Award Winning Score submitted by aschling on August 2, 2008, 10:44am This soundtrack is amazing. The Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of The Ring original score composed by Howard Shore won the Academy Award for best original score. When listening to it you can really feel the different moods in what is happening in the movie. The use of voices along with the orchestra make it even more dramatic.

REALLY GREAT if you like Lord of the Rings, you will love this, and you don't have to watch the movies to appreciate the music.
for me I like 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, and two of my personal favorites (the other is 2) 17, and 18.

One of my other faves: Concerning Hobbits # 2. I wish i'd pay more attention to the music in the movies. You'll never want to return this. I might just have to buy it :D :D I also like the Breaking of the Fellowship. I think this is the best. Enya is a very good celtic singer. I could listen to that one a hundred times.

FOTR Soundtrack submitted by SBNB on June 28, 2014, 6:51pm This is an incredible soundtrack. You can almost see the scenes in the movie as you listen to the songs. And on top of that, the last song by Enya (May It Be) is absolutely beautiful. It's one of my favorite songs (not just on this disc but from all songs ever).

The Fellowship of the Ring Soundtrack submitted by yaldah on June 12, 2015, 12:22pm This is an amazing soundtrack. While the music works wonderfully while enhancing the movie, it is also so beautiful that, even without having seen the movie, it is a great listen. It captures various emotions wonderfully, ranging through fear, anger, hope, sadness, joy, and more. Vocalists accompany the orchestra, adding dynamic to the music, singing in both Elvish and English.
All in all, this is an incredible CD, and I would recommend getting this out of the library to anyone, whether you have seen and/or enjoyed the movie The Fellowship of the RIng or not.
