Morris Buttermaker is an alcoholic pest removal worker and for a very short period of time a former professional baseball player, is recruited to coach and train a failing baseball team. All of these twelve-year-olds have been thrown out of the league. After losing every game they have played in so far, the kids force the coach to straighten up and teach them how to win before the season is over.

a lot of bad values and lousy role models submitted by 21621031390949 on July 5, 2011, 6:05pm We checked this movie out to watch as a family. It was a good enough story, but it was absolutely filled with four-letter words, crudity, profanity, drinking and drunkenness. Not at all appropriate for young kids unless you want them to grow up this way. The main character (the coach) is a boozer who chases bimbos and drinks constantly, not to mention his foul mouth. I can't imagine the original 2001 version with Walter Matthau could be this rude or crude. Too bad this is what they felt they had to do to dress it up for 2005.
