Intriguing version of the Civil War submitted by Brigid on August 1, 2021, 9:35pm Well written narration of the war seen through the eyes of the father of Louisa May Alcott who wrote in Little Women of her absent father. It is loosely based on him but many parts of it are based on other diaries, journals, articles about the war. The time line is confusing but I enjoyed the story about the horrors of war and slavery and the hard working nurses, doctors and slaves who survived and helped others survive.
