Amazingly helpful! submitted by momreset on July 8, 2018, 12:42pm I recommend this book every time someone mentions cleaning or organizing! It is the best place to start if you're trying to plan, de-clutter or schedule. It makes so much sense. It gives a quiz in the beginning to help you choose your brain type. It is written in chapters by brain type so you don't have to read the whole book. It explains why organizing may have failed for you in the past and what to do and even HOW to go about creating a system and sticking to your new system of organizing. It's really fantastic.

Surprisingly Rigid submitted by Meginator on August 24, 2020, 10:38pm Lanna Nakone’s approach to organization is a very positive and affirming one, and throughout this book she constantly takes pains to reassure readers that no system will work all the time for every person. This is all well and good, but her personality-based approach comes across as rigid in its own ways, relying as it does on broad categorizations of brain types that come across more as caricatures than as useful profiles; nor did I find the brief supplementary section on sensory styles particularly illuminating. Note, too, that the book was published in 2004 and many of the references to technology are dated or incomplete. Nonetheless, the personality quiz and profiles did help me re-think some of my own organizational methods (or lack thereof) and some of Nakone’s suggestions are quite practical when you boil away the additional padding. Part self-help book, part organizational scheme, this book is caught between two world but may contain some helpful suggestions depending on your own approach.
