So much happens within 373 pages of this book that your lady protagonist is almost unrecognizable as the same woman you start with. There are a lot of twists and turns, but the funnest of all is in the last quarter of the book, where unexpected changes forces you to envision the male love interest as a completely different man. It's fun to sort of begin imagining how the characters might speak and behave and even look and then have the author completely change that for you literally. This book is full of quirk. The romantic "scenes" definitely aren't for those who are easily offended by deviaton from the norms of intercourse.
