COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Reminds me of sitting with grandpa submitted by ldibble on July 1, 2015, 5:59pm This cd has a fair selection of the melodies of the period. The cd itself sounded much like the old records I listened to with my grandfather, who exposed me to this type of music. I have to admit I was expecting clearer sound, but even with the crackles and pops the fun of the silly lyrics and sultry innuendos brought back happy memories.

No great memories submitted by tbbrown76 on August 30, 2016, 6:25am I thought I might like big band sounds. But, I don't. Sorry.

Not the Best of Harry James submitted by KidBlue on November 15, 2022, 7:14pm Harry James first recordings under his own name were a lot hotter than this. But he wasn’t making hits so he turned to this kind of material. It’s pleasant but not exciting.
This album is not Harry James at his best, and it certainly isn’t a good example of big band music.
