The Lost World miniseries submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on July 8, 2016, 4:25am (Not to be confused with the sequel to Jurassic Park.)

The Lost World, originally aired as a two-part miniseries, is an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic book by the same name. It captures the adventure and outright weirdness of the source material, and it has a great cast. I really like Bob Hoskins as Professor Challenger. Unfortunately, it also has the flaws of the source material - tones of colonialism/imperialism, and a weaker third act or so than the earlier sections (at least to me).

It's a solid adaptation, for better and for worse. Of course, the effects feel dated, but the cast helps sell these and other shortcomings.
