Circa 1939 ace city reporter Polly Perkins has noted the sudden disappearances of many of the world's most famous scientists. After the city falls under attack of giant flying robots, she decides to team up with her ex-boyfriend, aviation officer Joe 'Sky Captain' Sullivan and flys around the world in search of the evil mastermind, Dr. Totenkopf, whose plan it is to create a new world by destroying the one of today.

Lightweight submitted by cherylo on July 29, 2011, 9:08am I really wanted to like this movie, but there is not much there there. The acting performances are quite stylized, which does match the heavily-CGI visual style and the comic-book plot level. Still, it might be a fine evening's entertainment if you're a fan of any of the principal actors or like Sci Fi/comic book action.

Boring submitted by crazypockets on August 2, 2013, 7:23pm This movie seemed to just run long for me, and I honestly can't remember that much about it...in fact, I'm pretty sure I fell asleep during it and didn't go back to it. That's saying something because I pretty much always try to finish movies. I think the acting was decent, but it just wasn't memorable.

What happens when your movie is pure CGI submitted by beeniepie on August 11, 2013, 12:25pm The actors can't act against a green screen! The film lacked the heart it was trying to evoke. Long and boring.
