Experimental Yet Accessible submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 7:26pm This album feels experimental, but the music always finds a way forward without resorting to trickery. The overall tone is relaxed, even when the musicians are taking solo turns that show their high level of skill, and some passages are reminiscent of the works of Steve Reich without being quite as prolonged or subtle in their movement. The varied instrumentation and seamless group dynamics make this a fantastic jazz record to relax to, with many musical rewards to reap on repeated listens.
