For beginning cooks submitted by ark on June 28, 2011, 10:07am The format of this cookbook is perfect for novice cooks; Swanson employs lots of useful charts and tables. Come to think of it it's also a great cookbook for OCD types. For someone who cooks a moderate amount and is familiar with vegetarian/vegan cooking, I would have rather seen more pictures and more complex recipes--and I've found these in her 2 newer books, Super Natural Cooking and Super Natural Every Day---highly recommend these!!
