Fun Books, Bad Reading submitted by pk on July 6, 2011, 2:37pm Though we love the Magic Tree House books, the reader is not very good on this audiobook. Just goes to show, some have talent for writing, and others have talent for performance. The author should have considered hiring an actor to do the reading of her books instead of doing it herself.

Good Series submitted by 0liviap0pp on July 23, 2011, 9:00am Magic Tree House is loved by all younger kids. This collection is also the case!

good submitted by karenkay on July 26, 2011, 10:09pm Jack and Annie (brother and sister) discover a tree house that can take them any place in the books inside the tree house. They meet Morgan, the owner of the tree house, who is a magical librarian. In each book, they are given a puzzle to solve and a reference book that helps them. They explore science and history in the process of solving these puzzles. Some of the books were a bit scary for my kids. Generally, Jack and Annie work well together but there are times when Annie makes poor decisions that get them into trouble. A good way to sneak in some teaching in a reasonably entertaining and inoffensive manner.

magic tree house is awesome! submitted by nasuaada on August 3, 2011, 7:59pm magic tree house is awesome!

Do Your Kids A Favor submitted by kjmclark on December 22, 2011, 10:58am If you have young kids, do yourself and your kids a favor and get them hooked on this series. Save the audiobooks for car trips, and get them reading the actual books. These are easy to read, and pure adventure. This is one of the first sets of books our kids started reading, and they're both A students in AAPS. Jack and Annie deserve some of the credit.

Great submitted by DoodleBob on June 16, 2012, 3:56pm Once i read this book i was hooked on this series.

love submitted by nicenora2371 on July 12, 2013, 4:35pm love these read them all the time

Fantastic! submitted by mdfalb on July 23, 2014, 6:55pm This series is great. It's meant for older kids, but my two year old loves it, and I do too! The language is pretty basic, so my toddler seems to understand most of it and it's great for his listening and comprehension. Others have complained about the author's reading, but I think it's perfectly fine. I appreciate how down-to-earth she is, rather than the exaggerated excess you often hear, as if the reader is trying to convince you of something or is being fake. We enjoyed this fully and I recommend it without reservation. The stories are interesting and engaging and my child learned a lot!

Great stories, needs a better reader submitted by jmdk on August 11, 2014, 9:15am I agree that these stories are totally engrossing - my kids love them. But the reader (who is also the author) is not very interesting as a narrator. I wish she'd hired a voice actor to read the books. I recommend Junie B Jones and Nate the Great audiobooks - they have excellent readers!

Good submitted by jackson.sarah.jean on June 20, 2015, 5:35pm My 6 year old son was hooked.

Love these stories submitted by flashnsnooks on June 15, 2018, 4:06pm My 4 year old son is loving Jack and Annie! We've checked out a number of the audiobooks and they've made for some pleasant long drives. He also likes to listen on errands around town. I rather like the author narrating the books.

entertaining for younger children submitted by Cherrytreelane on July 29, 2018, 11:25pm on the simple side, so older children may enjoy books with more complexity.

Great for car rides submitted by liebermanjanice on August 9, 2023, 11:32pm We loved the MTH series, and it was great to listen to these in the car when my kids were little. Each one was 1/2 hour, so we could judge whether to start the next one or hold off. The stories certainly kept my kids' attention on long drives. The different voices work really well to make clear which character is speaking. These were great!

Captures the imagination submitted by blancharddana on August 10, 2023, 10:39am Such fun and nostalgic adventures!
