Truly Great Movie. submitted by Tassos on January 30, 2019, 9:17am RW Fassbinder was a wunderkind director, made 20 movies by the age of 29 or 28. This is one of the best examples of his genius. See it.

Unique story submitted by brooksza on August 15, 2022, 3:23pm This is a unique love story that's as relevant today as it was when the movie was made. I empathized with Ali and Emmi and the way society judged them because of their age and ethnic differences. There were lots of shots of people in mirrors before we get a final shot of both of them through the mirror.

There's one impressive shot of Emmi in the kitchen alone where the doorway forms a really narrow frame.
