Revolutionary Jazz

This is Miles' response to the onslaught of electric instruments and the birth of rock n roll. He assembles an all-star group, often doubling up on drums, bass, and electric keys to put out a sound that is out of this world.

As a bass clarinetist, I am partial to Bennie Maupin's eerie tones and moody atmospheric wailings on the bass clarinet, but this is only one piece of the puzzle. This album needs to be listened to start to finish and with the first two tracks clocking in at over 25 minutes each, it is no easy feat but well worth it!
