COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Nu Metal Superstars submitted by Meginator on August 23, 2020, 10:33am This is a fairly typical Korn album that features their signature confrontational music style and surprisingly personal lyrics, albeit with fewer rap influences than from their late-90s albums (with the exception of “Play Me”, featuring Nas). The guitars and overall vibe are somewhat heavier and a callback to their earliest albums, though with more sophisticated layering and song structure that mark the band’s musical progression. This isn’t the most iconic Korn album by any means, but it’s a fairly good representation of nu metal’s growth and evolution following its boom period.
