Amazing R&B Album submitted by Meginator on June 28, 2023, 10:58pm This is an incredible album of piano-based R&B, with hints of hip-hop and soul sprinkled throughout in thoughtful ways that contribute to the album’s compelling and unique musical style. Nothing is particularly flashy here, and the more subdued performances feel as intimate and personal as the album’s title suggests. This is the kind of songwriting that sneaks up on you slowly, and it is completely absorbing once you allow yourself to sit back and let the sounds wash over you. Approachable and expansive while completely self-assured, this album is a great example of the wide range of possibilities within R&B.
