History majors (such as myself) will appreciate this often accurate but sometimes hilariously and intentionally inaccurate portrayal of British history from the Middle Ages through World War I with a bonus episode set in our modern day. Rowan Atkinson is at his best as Black Adder, a recurring character whose station in life drops from prince to army captain. "Black Adder" is one of the most popular comedy shows in Great Britain.
Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry appear in this show together, as well as in "Jeeves and Wooster" and "A Bit of Fry and Laurie."
