Baseball, math, and creating new stats submitted by lhart on August 9, 2007, 10:13pm Discussion of a whole new approach to scouting in MLB, started by Billy Beane. Very interesting and told like a story. Addresses the use of statistics and its impact on the old guard of scouting and evaluating. New measures now commonly used in baseball.

Incredible submitted by dahyatt on July 16, 2014, 12:08pm This book is a must read for any baseball fan who also appreciates the numbers and statistics side of the game. The book's approach to helping you understand how Billy Beane used numbers to create a great A's team with a low payroll is excellent.
