Don't Hate!

Come on! How can you not love this delightfully ridiculous piece of cinematic, 80s gold? It still makes me laugh to this day what crazy misconceptions of Indian culture are in this movie. Really? Chilled monkey brains? But it's a great adventure with some hilarious parts. Just go with it; Indiana Jones is not meant to be over-thought. It's fun!

Doesn't Live Up to Expectations

I love Raiders of the Lost Ark so I thought Temple of Doom would be on the same level. Unfortunately I thought many of the characters were annoyingly over the top. Indiana's love interest Willie Scott is a night club singer who spends the entire movie having a meltdown with no redeeming qualities that I could see. He also brings along his new sidekick Short Round who also seems pretty useless. I would strongly suggest sticking to the Raiders of the Ark or pass this over for the Last Crusade and save yourself two hours of ridiculousness.
