disco fever submitted by Jackie77 on August 24, 2015, 9:30pm I love disco. This was a great movie. The acting was superb. The clothes, hairstyles, and music are all portrayed wonderfully for the 70's. A bit too much sex is the only turn off.

Great Music, Great Acting, Great Classic submitted by generic username on August 16, 2019, 11:41pm "Boogie Nights" is a fictional story with significant historical accuracy about the transition of the porn industry from the end of the Porno Chic era to the Video Tape era from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The movie is a hard "R" rating but is more interested in the characters than being visually exploitative. The screenplay, the acting, and the music are superb. Highly recommended. There are other films like 'Wonderland" covering the same era and incidents, but "Boogie Nights" is so far the best by a large margin.
