Narrated by Patrick Tull.
Third in the series of Aubrey-Maturin adventures, this book is set among the strange sights and smells of the Indian subcontinent, and in the distant waters ploughed by the ships of the East India Company. Aubrey is on the defensive, pitting wits and seamanship against an enemy enjoying overwhelming local superiority. But somewhere in the Indian Ocean lies the prize that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams: the ships sent by Napoleon to attack the China Fleet.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Patrick and Patrick are a winning combination submitted by kylepk on July 10, 2020, 1:48pm I think that this is the book where O'Brian has really hit his stride in writing about Aubrey and Maturin. I won't find any particular faults with the first two in the series, but I think with this he settles into creating excellent tales of these two that lasts for more than a dozen additional novels. (Yes, I think the last couple are not as strong either.)

As a bonus, for me, Patrick Tull's narration of these stories are simply the best.
