Telling his faithful dog to make sure nobody touches his clothes but him, a cowboy jumps into a New Mexico river for a bath, not realizing just how much the scrubbing will change his scent.

not very entertaining submitted by camelsamba on August 13, 2011, 6:20pm Continuing on an "all Adam Rex, all week" binge, we requested this from the library. Eh. The illustrations are indeed amusing, but the story is not very entertaining.

Too long submitted by klickitat on July 14, 2012, 5:17pm The story starts off well but drags considerably halfway through and never recovers. The pacing is terrible. This probably would work better as a short story than as a picture book. The intended age group will never sit still for the length of this book unless they're reaaaally into dirty cowboys who run into problems bathing.

Also, as is implied on the front cover, there are many images of discrete nudity. We're not talking In The Night Kitchen full frontal or anything but if you're offended by such content, this probably isn't the book for you.

Rex's art is top notch, as usual.
