Once upon a time, Spinal Tap had a big hit song. Now, nearly two decades later, Spinal Tap still clings to some glint of their lost glory as they embark on an accident-plagued tour across America. In Cleveland, the group gets lost underneath the stage. In Washington, they're accidently booked at an Air Force formal dance. And in a Chicago record store, no one shows up to get their autographs.
DVD; 5.1 surround sound.
COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Quintessential submitted by markwells on March 18, 2012, 3:36pm The ultimate mockumentary. This hilarious satire is a must-see. The music and lyrics are good enough that many thought they were, a real band...or were they?
Fun! submitted by Zekicmom on June 17, 2013, 9:10pm The cast is amazing, the music is actually good, and the movie has become something of a classic.
He's dead, he's dead submitted by crankycrack on August 19, 2015, 11:05pm As good as the movie is, listening to the commentary is even better.
Funny and Talented submitted by kathscot on August 29, 2016, 9:06pm These guys really are talented musicians but are even more talented comedians. The songs (and staging) are pretty hilarious, their delivery is perfect. I've laughed more every time we've watched this.
TIS submitted by a2sue on August 3, 2017, 10:37pm I have yet to figure out why This is Spinal Tap is such a so-called "cult classic" -- I really, really don't see what all the hype is about.
