Not for Me submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 9:53pm This album features a particular vocal style that often slides around pitches very rapidly, and while I recognize the artistry in it I found myself distracted by the unfamiliar sound. Many of these songs have a certain beautiful, almost haunting, quality to them. I particularly enjoyed the tracks that incorporated additional instruments and voices, and although I didn’t always care for the vocal style I do appreciate the opportunity to learn more about a musical culture that is entirely unfamiliar to me.
