COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Over and over again submitted by Celeste Arruda on July 27, 2012, 9:14pm I have read this book about six times in the last four years, and the last read was just as good—if not better—than the first. Even after six reads, I was still picking up details I had missed the first time around. The other two books in the series are the same way. The characters are real and beautiful, and I feel as though some of them have become my best friends. I will be reading this book until I die or the pages fall out—whichever is first.

Intro to the Fae submitted by nicole on June 19, 2013, 3:03pm This was one of the first books I read in high school that introduced fairies to me as "The Fae" with all their weird and interesting mythology. It has just the right amount of disturbing.

awesome submitted by kzheng on June 23, 2014, 6:08pm Holly black is a really good writer
her other books are just as mysterious

great urban fantasy submitted by jgzhang on July 26, 2014, 11:15pm Holly Black is a great writer. She's not afraid to delve into darker, grittier topics even for YA novels. Tithe is an entertaining read for fans of supernatural stories. Love the sequel (Ironside) even more, though!

Interesting submitted by lstorc on August 31, 2018, 11:24pm This is an interesting modern take on a changeling. It's a little unrealistic for the genre, but it's nice to have something different.

Tithe submitted by trina05 on August 10, 2022, 10:11am When I first read this, I loved it and it lead me to read other novels by Holly Black. She’s a great storyteller. But I re-read Tithe, as I didn’t realize it was part of a series and I’m struggling to get past the focus on what is a somewhat creepy love story with a young teen.
