Nothing That Meets The Eye submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on July 19, 2017, 11:18am This is a terrific collection of Patricia Highsmith's shorter works. Highsmith is best known as the author of The Talented Mr. Ripley, but she also wrote Strangers On A Train (on which the classic Hitchcock film is based) and The Price of Salt, a.k.a. Carol, which was made into the critically acclaimed movie Carol). Her short fiction is very strong and very mood-oriented; it portrays unease, offers suspense, and quickly sketches defined characters. A great short story collection.
