COMMUNITY REVIEWS

The Best Kids CD Ever submitted by Jacy on June 16, 2013, 2:28pm This CD is more than bearable. Kids love it and you dont crazy listening to it over and over and over in the car. Most of the songs are silly but some have a bit more "value" such as in the middle.

Fun for adults too! submitted by thegretch on July 17, 2014, 10:22pm We love all the songs on this CD. I often find myself singing "I am Not your Broom".

Not No, Yes. Very Yes. Yes! submitted by Meginator on August 20, 2021, 7:55pm This is billed as TMBG’s first album for all-age audiences, but it fits right in with their other work, even if the lyrics are a bit more literal and the themes a little less complex. A couple of the songs hint at John & John’s future forays into straight-up educational music, but for now it’s still a heaping helping of straight-up weird (in the best possible way). Lyrically, the group uses the kind of polarizing absurdist humor that people either get intuitively or think is pointless, and while this album isn’t their best collection of songs, it has plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Though the band generally sticks to a guitar-based folksy sound, these songs run the gamut, incorporating digital instrumentation to excellent effect when appropriate and generally crafting catchy, can’t-miss hooks that get stuck in your head for days. TMBG are a one-of-a-kind phenomenon and this album catches them in their prime.
