dystopian college submitted by ssands on June 28, 2015, 3:06pm This is the first Stephenson book I read, as a jr. high-schooler, and for a long time I didn't realize it was the same author as "Snow Crash" etc. Apparently he didn't especially like it and let it go out of print. I loved it at the time and was sort of disappointed when I went to college that it didn't have giant radioactive rats in the steam tunnels. (Or maybe it did?) Parts of this book have stayed with me for 30 years.
