The Hobbit submitted by SBNB on June 21, 2014, 12:28pm It’s a good book. I prefer reading it, but listening to it was ok too.
the hobbit submitted by hcf on July 30, 2014, 8:12pm hobbit on cd! woo woo
Tolkien on Audio submitted by hduke on July 28, 2018, 2:57pm Books on CD are one of my favorite things, and it's easier to become immersed in Tolkien's highly-detailed world when someone else is reading the story to you. The Hobbit is a more lighthearted adventure through Middle-Earth, but still full of purpose and heart - a good place to start for fans of the movies who want to read (or listen to!) the books.
Great! submitted by brrdgrrl on August 5, 2018, 9:51pm I read the Hobbit &c yearly from age 10 to my twenties. Rob Inglis does a gret job bringing the characters to life, and especially great job with the songs. I think Tolkien would have really enjoyed this, and talking to the team who helped Mr Inglis bring this to life.
Pure Adventure submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 6:41pm This is a gripping story that can be enjoyed from middle schoolers on through adults. It provides a substantial escape from reality.
