i luv sammy submitted by sjaworsk on July 15, 2011, 3:14pm sammy is so funny. i luv how she always walks into trouble. this book is also funny bcuz there are pop-singing 'nuns'. this is a must read!

good mystery, too much softball submitted by Sara W on August 2, 2015, 8:57am Sammy is at it again, solving mysteries and saving the day, all while being totally herself. Sammy has a lot more sense than most people, not just other seventh-graders, but people of all ages. She's smart enough to look around her and see what's happening behind the scenes, but she's also smart enough to see her nasty nemesis Heather Acosta as a human being with her own problems. That's a pretty mature take for a kid who takes as much abuse as she does from rotten Heather.

The focus on scenery at St. Mary's was an interesting change of pace, and the mystery involving missing items and suspicious characters there developed nicely.

The softball subplot was a great way to show off the further bonding of Marissa, Dot, and Sammy. Also, I can't believe I'm saying there is too much softball in something, but I am. She really breaks down the games, moment by moment, and it gets to be a little much.

All in all though, another very enjoyable outing with Sammy Keyes and I absolutely look forward to the next one. Team Sammy Forever!!
