This story of two people who struggle to claim a house as their own. The impact of this argument isn’t initially apparent. But Ben Kingsly’s character is a man who lost everything because he brought his family to America to escape Middle East tyranny.
His fast descent to hopelessness took my breath away.
Dark and depressing submitted by 21621031390949 on June 15, 2020, 10:59am It’s a really good book. I just can’t give it five stars because it is so dark and so depressing. Kind of sorry I read it, as it has left me feeling icky and sad.
somewhat inane, semi-absorbing

If you are looking for a nice but boring white man's perspective on what it's like to be:
1. An Iranian immigrant
2. A woman,
then look no further, you have found the book for you
