neil gaiman submitted by unknown on July 30, 2013, 7:58pm I love the Sandman!

Some of the best storytelling in any form submitted by dimuziom on August 6, 2013, 9:52am Sandman redefines the medium, combining classic forms of literature with stunning art. This volume is one of the best of the best. While it does not directly feature or continue the story of Dream of the Endless, it tells some excellent stories, and hints at the cataclysmic events to come in The Kindly Ones.

Not my favorite volume submitted by crankycrack on July 27, 2015, 11:19pm but entertaining none the less!

More Tales submitted by majean on August 16, 2018, 3:35pm Told in a Canterbury Tales-esque manner, there are some one-shot stories with a few allusions to other volumes.

Probably the weakest of the 'only one-shot stories' volumes of Sandman submitted by valjean on August 27, 2018, 1:24am This is the final volume to contain single-issue storylines. Although, some things brought up in the final story will appear again later. This one, in my opinion, is the weakest of the three volumes, so if you feel like you can only read a couple more volumes in the Sandman saga, I would just skip to 9 and 10. I still think it's fantastic, though.

Disjointed, but Good submitted by hrgray on June 25, 2023, 6:40pm This is another set of one-shot stories, but connected by the overarching narrative device of the World's End Inn. While the stories were fine, I found that the art in this volume really stole the show - it had a lot of fresh styles for Sandman, and was gorgeous overall.

Good but not great submitted by kaymbre on July 19, 2023, 6:50am In Sandman Volume 8, Neil Gaiman once again proves his storytelling prowess, crafting a compelling narrative that delves deeper into the enigmatic world of dreams and the Endless. The artwork remains consistently atmospheric, adding an immersive layer to the already captivating plot. However, while the character development is commendable, I felt that some arcs lacked the emotional impact that made the earlier volumes truly exceptional. Nonetheless, Sandman Volume 8 still manages to offer a thought-provoking and entertaining experience that keeps readers engaged and eager to explore more of this mesmerizing universe.
