the power of perseverance

This was published in 1996, before Pluto was demoted from planet status. But that doesn't matter, since the real point of the book is to show you how Tombaugh came to be fascinated with space and involved in astronomy. From digging his own cellar in order to have the right conditions to successfully grind a telescope mirror, to relentlessly searching images for evidence of Planet X, the narrative shows how determination and perseverance can yield great results.
Easy chapter book. Great artwork.
