Disney Pastiche submitted by Meginator on June 25, 2018, 7:55pm This album consists of classic Disney songs re-imagined in famous composers’ styles, and the result is a bit uneven even if the concept is fantastic. The pastiches are spot-on, almost to a fault, and the original melodies tend to either get lost in the arrangements’ cleverness or to be redone in a style that doesn't make musical sense; too many of the tracks walk a thin line between imitation and strict quotation. I love the concept but was often disappointed by the execution.
