COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Sad Memoir of Shakespearean Actress submitted by ekjensen on August 29, 2018, 1:40pm This memoir disappoints greatly, if you are interested in Claire Bloom and her great acting roles. It instead dwells obsessively on her poor picks of men to enter/marry in her life. In particular, her affair with Richard Burton, a renegade philanderer, and life with /wife of Philip Roth, a vindictive sick man, albeit successful author. Take away: she made a lot of bad choices about relationships in her life and then she wrote about them in detail. Book writing and selling exclusively for the money?
