Great Modern African American Literature submitted by Carrie Floyd on July 27, 2014, 2:26pm This book is a great read, and presents an interesting perspective from a young boy's experience growing up in America. The tone is light, yet insightful, offering a humorous take on the teenage experience. While written at a level that teens can appreciate, it is also a great read for adults.
