safety can be fun submitted by adimarzo on August 13, 2012, 9:30pm This is a fun story of a policeman who delivers safety talks at local schools. No one is interested until he brings along his police dog Gloria who livens up his presentation. I love the paper star safety tips on the inside front and back covers.

Safety Is Important submitted by yuliahristova on July 4, 2018, 1:33pm This book is about a policeman and a dog named Gloria.
Officer Buckle gives safety speeches that are very boring to the children until he brings a dog named Gloria. Gloria starts acting out each safety tip in a very funny way. After that different places call officer Buckle to give his safety speeches. He finally finds out nobody is listening to him. He gets mad and does not want to give any more safety speeches. One day Gloria goes to Napville school alone and is very lonely. After that officer Buckle thinks up of safety tip number 101 (Always stay with a buddy).
This is also a good book because there are safety tips for little children to learn in the front and back of the book.

Good submitted by VanCancue on August 9, 2018, 5:26pm If you enjoy this book in just the paper version you'll absolutely enjoy the animated version of this story that you can also find in this catalog. The animated version of this story includes all of Gloria's fun antics. Includes some mundane safety tips but a wonderful lesson about how it's OK if to need help and share the limelight

Approved submitted by jibkidder on July 3, 2022, 10:17am A fun cop and dog story from the author of the classic Goodnight Gorilla. Some of its situations slash illustrations are truly funny.
