Ok magazine, slimy business practice submitted by willow on August 20, 2016, 7:31am This magazine provides a decent overview of life in the Midwest, with stories about food, homes, and regional travel.

Unfortunately the publisher sold subscribers' personal information, resulting in a lawsuit!

Sadly, instead of the goal of $5000 per subscriber affected, I only received $37. (Apparently more subscribers joined the settlement than they expected.)

Extended (Though Useful) Advertisements for the Midwest submitted by Meginator on July 1, 2023, 5:22pm This magazine feels like more of an extended advertisement than a proper publication, but it does celebrate the Midwest (using the broadest possible definitions of the region) and provides some useful information about potential tourist destinations both near to and far from Ann Arbor. The format and ad density makes it difficult to discern what is an actual article rather than a paid promotional spot, and the lengthier articles themselves are usually so specific that they are of limited interest to a general audience; the magazine’s real strength is in its brief city profiles and themed lists, which generally highlight a good range of destinations both in location and in size, and even a short leaf-through can provide a few excellent travel recommendations. Readers who enjoy traveling will likely find it worth their while to browse through a few issues to gather ideas.
