COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Puts You in the Christmas Mood, Indeed submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2022, 6:46pm This album reimagines classic Christmas hymns and pop songs (as well as “Auld Lang Syne”, for good measure) in the Big Band style. The orchestration feels straight out of the 1930s, and the genre has a nice bit of distance from traditional choral music and the crooner-heavy standards that usually get played during the holiday season. This is a nice change of pace and a bit of a throwback, and anyone who enjoys old-school swing music should find this album to be a comforting, yet slightly different, way to get into the Christmas mood.
