I gave this one star because ... submitted by GJBarnett2 on March 16, 2024, 9:56am ... I couldn't give it any less. This garbage never would have seen the light of day but for the author's name recognition and history which guaranteed high sales and revenue. It started strange and got worse. I gave it literally half its 370 pages before deciding that no conceivable plot resolution could justify the time I had already wasted let alone that necessary to finish it. It's what I call an "Emperor's New Clothes" book. The truth is embarrassing but no-one wants to be the first to say it out loud. So I will. READ SOMETHING ELSE! ANYTHING ELSE. An ancient phone book would be a big improvement.
