He's the best there is; in fact, he's the only one there is! He's Ace Ventura Pet Detective. He goes eyeball to eyeball with a man-eating shark, stakes out the Miami Dolphins and woos and wows the ladies. Whether he's undercover, under fire or underwater, he always gets his man, or beast.

Beware the last quarter of this movie with kids submitted by Firehawk on October 31, 2023, 1:09pm I'm surprised that no one in Ann Arbor has yet reviewed how inappropriate this movie is.

This was released as a PG-13 movie in 1994.
In 2023, you should probably be an mature adult watching this.
Parts are funny for kids, parts are sus, and parts should be off-limits.

I remembered this movie as funny.
I did not remember much of the plot.
It was still funny...a lot to kids and to me too when I looked past the following:

First, it's certainly foul-mouthed...I don't mind that, but too much for kids.
Second, without being too much of a spoiler, it plainly teaches that a guy kissing
a guy is a terrible thing and requires a thorough cleansing.
Third, the forcible stripping of the trans-villain as the ending was hard to take.

If you can look past the phobic tropes, you could possibly enjoy this movie.
