A love letter to books submitted by jfwhite23 on September 9, 2023, 9:04am Fantastic book. It follows the story of Peg who works at the Oxford University Press as a Bookbinder. She is told she is not to read the books but to bind them but she is desperate for an education. There is so much here. It occurs in a time when women had no right to vote. It shows the divide between “town” and “gown”. It shows the devastation of World War I. Highly recommend this.
