A Very Kelly Breakup Album submitted by Meginator on July 26, 2023, 11:16pm This is definitely a breakup album, which is clear from the (very personal, occasionally scorching) lyrics, and it is more hurt and thoughtful than angry although ire does make a few cameo appearances. The songs themselves fit broadly into the modern pop spectrum, with nice stylistic variety and a good balance of tempos and moods; it's never just one thing, which adds to its power. I do think that the album lacks some of Clarkson's vocal trademarks, which was a little disappointing with such overtly personal meaning behind the music, but it's still a really solid piece of work that carries a lot of depth and a huge range of emotions.
