How to make friends -- Figuring out what kinds of friendships you want -- On keeping people at a distance so you don't get hurt again -- Yes, animals can be your (best) friends -- How to identify and ask for what you need -- What to do if you're in love with your friend -- How to adjust your friendship levels: from casual friends to close friends and back again -- Staying friends with exes: an essential guide -- Friendships are relationships: treating friendships the way we treat romantic relationships -- Being friends with coworkers, roommates, and family members: how to navigate them all -- How to fight with your friends: when it's healthy and when it's a warning sign -- Friend breakups: how to know when to leave, how to do it, and how to cope with the grief -- How marriage and kids can impact your friendship -- The frustrating realization of the part you played in choosing the wrong friends -- What to do when you finally find your people: how to be a good friend.
Part memoir, part self-help, You Will Find Your People uncovers the complex, frightening, and often vulnerable process of building real, healthy friendships and finally creating your chosen family. Moore takes readers on a journey that examines and challenges the ideas of friendship we've seen in pop culture, answers every question you've ever had about friend breakups, and teaches us how to fearlessly ask for what we want in friendships once and for all.

Just Awful! And Mistitled! submitted by GJBarnett2 on October 2, 2023, 7:29pm I gave up after about 30 pages and went to the last chapter to see if it got any better. Didn't. Should be titled "How To Be A Terminally Needy, Unlikable Life-Long Lonester." Her story makes it all too painfully clear that she is entirely unqualified to offer advice on how to make friends since she hasn't any herself and her idea of friendship is so demanding of her "friends" that it would drive any sane person to jump out the nearest door or window, hit the ground running and scream-off into the distance.
