Reading was often fun, sometimes difficult. Appreciated this book submitted by robinfowler on December 11, 2023, 10:02am Ending was abrupt and predictable, BUT I really appreciated this nuanced look at both identity (growing up Korean American but without some insider cultural knowledge) AND at parenting/befriending/etc a kid with special needs. As a non-Korean/KoreanAmerican and not a parent of a kiddo like that, I hope characterizations are appropriate and fair. I do have lots of experience with kids/young adults with some of the needs and behaviors of a main character here, and he feels very believable, nuanced, realistic to me.
