Scarlet Pimpernel from a female working class POV submitted by Lorrraine on June 23, 2023, 2:12am Genevieve Cogman tackles the Scarlet Pimpernel a classic story of a wealthy Englishman who rescues aristocrats from the French revolution. But she does it from the viewpoint of Eleanor a housemaid who works with the Pimpernel. Also, many of the French aristocrats are vampires. All of which makes the tale more nuanced. While the story is more or less complete, this is obviously the first book of a series.
